Transfer Rumor: Manchester City Bidding For Torres?

Torres Waiting Newspaper reports are claiming that Manchester City are preparing a jaw dropping £100million offer for Spanish striker Fernando Torres.

The Blues are willing to break the transfer record for Torres because they believe that Liverpool owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks wont be able to turn down such a tempting offer, considering the financial straitjacket their in.

Torres has stated in the past how much his grown to love Liverpool and the people of Anfield, not to mention if he ever did go to another club, it would be for some other League entirely and not another Premiership club.

But with rumors of squad captain Gerrard transferring out of Liverpool, the Babel/twitter drama, and the much sucky season Liverpool’s been having, and not to mention the £100million offer coming his way! Do you think these occurrences could sway Nando’s mind and make him more susceptible to switch teams?

Truth or just mere speculation, the idea of Torres transferring to a new club at this time just seems so wild and would definitely be the hottest transfer topic since the Cristiano Ronaldo saga to Real Madrid this past summer.

Now here’s a question I ask of you readers – do you guys feel Torres is worth £100million? Sure his a great player and an asset to any team, but is he worth all that cha-ching Manchester City could possibly throw his way?
