Azerbaijan are hit for six, Spain retain unbeaten streak
Spain managed to thrash Azerbaijan this past Tuesday, winning 6-0 at the Tofig Bakhramov Stadium.
Torre’s 19th goal for Spain came three minutes before stop time, as he followed a lovely ball from Xavi, easily and calmly clipping the ball over the keeper.
Spain added to a first-half hat-trick from Villa, his third coming from the spot, with second-half goals from Riera, Guiza and out boy Torres.
The win adds to Spain’s unbeaten record, of 32 undefeated games in a row now for the European Champions. Vicente Del Bosque’s side now lock their sights on attaining the record of most unbeaten games – the record holders being the Brazilian titans with 35 unbeaten games (December 1993 – January 1996).
